Welcome to the Penelope Terry Abbey Chapter of the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution. If you are visiting this site, you may already be a Daughter, or maybe you want to become one. What better way to honor our heritage and the freedoms we as Americans enjoy than to belong to a group dedicated to preserving what makes our country so great! We hope you will join us as we joyously celebrate the past, actively participate in the present, and work diligently to pass along this great tradition to future generations.

At the Penelope Terry Abbey Chapter, we wholeheartedly support the key objectives of our National Society:

- to promote patriotism,

-to preserve American history, and

-to secure America's future through better education for children.

Since our chapter's establishment on February 27, 1922, our members have come from Enfield and the surrounding communities located in Connecticut to share our common bond linked through ancestry and love of country.

So take a few minutes, browse our site, and find out more about our chapter and how we work to fulfill the DAR's objectives. Then, why not join us at one of our monthly meetings? We look forward to seeing you!
